Humans of Technology — Kosuke Sogo, Founder & CEO at AdAsia
Sogo is CEO and Founder at AdAsia. Rising to the ranks of Managing Director at MicroAd at just age 24, he’s spent the past 7 years in the tech industry working across the APAC region.
1. Describe yourself in 3 words.
Confident. Logical. Passionate.
2. What did you study at university? Why?
Business Management at University in Tokyo. My fathers and grandfathers were all entrepreneurs, and they were the main source of my inspiration. Since I’ve been in high school, I wanted to be an entrepreneur.
3. Who is your role model?
Masayoshi Son, CEO of Softbank. His drive for greater things and his hunger for success is never ending. Though Softbank is doing great, he always feels like he can even do better. He is a legend in Japan.
4. What is the one skill you wish you had?
I’m not an engineer, and I don’t have good data programming skills. I have all these business ideas, but I have to rely on our engineering team to make them happen. I’ve always wished I had engineering skills.
5. Would you rather spend next 10 years in USA or China?
The USA. AdAsia plans to list in the NASDAQ in the next two years. We hope to have a big celebration in New York
